A household coordination app for couples that brings chores, groceries, reminders, and relationship rituals into one shared system, making everyday home life more enjoyable.
About the project
HOMEBASE gives couples a shared operating system for the invisible work of running a home.
The app is designed around the daily coordination that usually lives in one person's head: chores, groceries, reminders, routines, date-night planning, and the small nudges that keep both people involved.
Shared missions and chores with assignment, due dates, completion tracking, estimated effort, recurring schedules, and karma points.
Real-time household setup with owner accounts, partner access codes, member management, and one subscription covering the home.
Grocery lists and grocery libraries so both partners can add, search, edit, and complete items from the same shared source of truth.
Date-night ideas, monthly refreshes, partner prompts, compliments, and push notifications so the app supports connection as well as chores.
Results
HOMEBASE helps couples share household responsibilities, stay aligned, and make the everyday work of running a home more enjoyable while creating more room for connection.
For partners using the app, the result is clearer day-to-day visibility: missions can be assigned, scheduled, completed, and tracked without scattered texts or mismatched expectations, while grocery lists stay aligned from the same shared source of truth.
It also supports the softer side of household coordination, bringing date ideas, partner prompts, compliments, notifications, and shared access into the same routine so the app helps couples manage responsibilities and maintain connection.

- Flutter and Dart mobile app with GoRouter navigation, Provider-backed app state, and reusable page models.
- Firebase Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, FCM push notifications, and security rules.
- Household data model for users, households, chores, groceries, date-night content, karma history, and shared references.
- RevenueCat subscriptions with webhook handling, household entitlement sync, onboarding paywalls, and restore-purchase support.
What I worked on
I worked across the product from scoping through delivery: shaping requirements, clarifying the household model, translating the mental-load problem into app workflows, and breaking the build into releaseable screens and backend tasks.
The implementation covered onboarding, authentication, household creation and joining, mission management, recurring chore logic, grocery workflows, date-night content, partner notifications, profile and support screens, subscription gates, and production release preparation.
I also handled hands-on Firebase work across schema design, indexes, callable functions, scheduled functions, push notification documents, recurring task generation, timezone-aware monthly resets, subscription webhooks, and app-store-ready mobile configuration.
Product showcase
Extremely efficient and communicative. As a client, I never felt like I was out of the loop as to where we were in the build. Nothing was too much for Steven he figured every single technical challenge within a day. What was initially quoted for 8 week MVP build was built in 3. He knows what he is doing and I would not look elsewhere for the duty of care he offered my app throughout the entire process. Absolutely over-delivered, I can't recommend him enough.
